MIXED MEDIA
The next question an Artist undoubtedly receives immediately after revealing his/her profession is "What kind of Art do you do?" Creatives are constantly evolving and no longer relegated to strict traditional art methods. An artists job is to create and that often means utilizing whatever means and methods necessary to realize their vision. This show explores how artists create using a variety of methods and how "mixed media" has become the platform for realizing an artwork.

This exhibition explored the theme of unrequited love, and the impact that love and heartache have on creation of artwork. Given the date of the event, and the intimate nature of the subject, attendance was kept small as we wanted to invite attendees to view the artwork presented by the exhibiting Artists, and discuss how love and heartache played a role in creation of the work.

Art of the Postcard

ART OF THE POSTCARD
This exhibition explored the value of the postcard as an artwork and its importance as a historical artifact. The exhibit featured postcards of Old Wilmington collected by the Bahr Family dating back to as far as 1906 (over 300 postcards in the collection) as well as the history of the postcard and how it came about. Limited edition postcards depicting scenes of Wilmington are available for purchase.

COLORS OF ECUADOR
This exhibition featured unique works and artifacts collected by the Bahr Family from Ecuador, including luxury textiles, incan artifacts, paintings by indigenous Ecuadorian artists, ceramics, an indian weapon collection and more. A unique series of artworks painted in the style of Oswaldo Guayasamin and Eduardo Kingman collected by the Bahr Family are available for purchase.
